This dress and beret is made from a fabric with an Edo komon pattern applied on top of the ground pattern.
Edo komon is a type of dyed fabric that has been handed down since the Edo period (1603-1868).
The characteristic of the Edo komon is that it is dyed using only one color with a very small pattern that at first glance appears plain from a distance.
